Conference

Texas Hilton Palacio del Rio Hotel, San Antonio, Texas, USA

July 4-8, 2018

We invite you to participate in the ISPP Annual Meeting of 2018 in San Antonio, Texas, USA, and submit your newest research! Focusing beyond borders and boundaries, we are particularly interested in proposals that provide new theoretical or empirical insights into the dynamics of boundary making and boundary contestation. The conference emphasizes theoretical and methodological plurality and hopes to bring together new research from, but not limited to, the fields of psychology, political science, sociology, economics, communication, and history. Symposia, roundtables, papers, and posters on any other topic in political psychology are also welcome.

Keynote Speakers

We are happy to announce our Keynote Speakers:

Jack Citrin (University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA).

Eva. G. T. Green (University of Lausanne, Switzerland)

Donald P. Haider-Markel (University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, USA)

Stephen C. Wright (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada)

Keynotes and invited symposia will tackle urgent issues in political psychology, like LGTB representation, social inequality, populism and immigration. We hope to anchor discussions in current societal events by including symposia and roundtables featuring scholars at risk, internationalization, practitioners, and more. We aim at expanding the focus of the meeting over and above pure academic discussions to the exchange between scientists and practitioners.

We are looking forward to your submissions for poster presentations, individual talks, symposia, and roundtable discussions. We are aiming at putting together an exciting and inspiring scientific program and hope that you will join us for the conference in San Antonio. The meeting will take place during the city’s 300th anniversary, with many special events in celebration. Check out the information currently posted – with more to follow – and start planning your trip to include not only ISPP’s Annual Meeting, but also taking in the amazing sights, cultural, and top-rated culinary options the 2018 conference location has to offer!
