$4000 research grant for field work in Middle East

Fall 2011 POMEPS Research Grants

The Project on Middle East Political Science is delighted to announce a call for proposals for Fall 2011 POMEPS Research Grants. The competition is open to academic political scientists at any career stage, from graduate students to senior faculty. Awards of up to $4000 can be used to support travel to the Middle East for research. Grant recipients are required to produce at least one article for Foreign Policy’s Middle East Channel based on their research.

Interested candidates should submit proposals to: before the deadline of September 1, 2011. Applications should include:

• Current CV

• A proposal indicating where and when the research would take place. Travel should be to the broader Middle East, and should take place before December 31, 2011.

• A description of the academic research project.

• A description of possible MEC articles, which may or may not be based on the academic research project.
